Take a walk on the wild side & dip your toes in the sand with our quintessential Australian beach babe, Casey James. No doubt you’ve heard the saying, ‘never judge a book by it’s cover,’ well, this is certainly true when it comes to Casey! Not your typical model, she doesn’t like Acai Bowls or Kombucha, claims she has ‘no idea’ how to walk in high heels, and spends most of her time surfing Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

This week was our first time shooting with this beauty & keeping with Mura tradition, we asked her a few questions so that you could get to know the girl behind the beachy blonde waves & gorgeous sun-kissed skin…

I hate Avocado! Shocking I know! And I’m also a quarter Sri Lankan.

If you weren’t a model what career would you pursue?

I would be a makeup artist! I love natural skincare, I’m really not into this Kylie Jenner trend of makeup with heavy contouring & crazy Insta makeup. I would really like to change the makeup industry  so that we’re focusing more on natural beauty & skincare.

Books or movies?

Movies. But I am currently reading the Subtle Art of Not Giving A F**K.

(Casey also told us about the Rolling Stones doco that she recently watched with her dad. She’s a big fan of this infamous 60’s rock band. She really is the cool girl next door!

Wine or Aperol Spritz?

Neither. Beer haha! I love Stone & Wood

Sneakers. I have no idea how to walk in heels!
