How to style flowers for a photoshoot!

Flowers add a touch of luxury & natural beauty to a set. They always transform our Mura HQ every Friday when we get our office arrangement and beautiful flowers for the photoshoot!

This week we followed our in house creative Jasmine to the beautiful Wallflower Floral Design to see how she creates our weekly flower arrangements.

steps1

First thing’s first: which ingredients should we use?! For us, neutral soft feminine colours are our favourites. Pampas Grass & Cotton are currently on trend and beautiful! They give a natural earthy feel to an arrangement.

This week we chose Quicksand Roses, Silver Dollar Gum Leaves, Billy Buttons, Pampas Grass, Wheat, Bunny Tails, Babies Breath and Cotton.

Wallflower has an endless supply of beautiful dried flowers which is what we usually use to add some golden tones to an arrangement.

We wanted to lessen the intensity of the Yellow on the Billy Buttons for this arrangement so we’ve spray painted them white.

Then, with a vase full of water, place your base foliage in:

The Third step is to add your hero flowers! We’ve added 6 Quicksand Roses to our arrangement.

We then place in our beautiful dried Bunnies Tails & wheat to add some golden tones & depth. We then frame the arrangement with beautiful babies breath! we LOVE babies breath because of how light and delicate it looks.

Finally add a ribbon as a final touch & viola!
