Our Stylist Recaps Aus Fashion Week 2018

“After a massive Australian Fashion Week, I thought I would recap on my top four favourite showcases. My favourite from the week included designers like Alice McCall, Camilla and Marc, Camilla and Albus Lumen.”

 

alice

1. Alice McCall 

Patterns: Pretty floral prints, 70s crochet and aztec prints
Silhouette: Feminine & whimsical
Colours: White, lilac and emerald green
Styles: Collared sheer dresses and delicate boudoir styles
Styling & Accessories: Bum bag belts with pearl detailing, bold and bright pointed heels, short handle bags, ribbon tie up heels, buckle up pointed heels, lace bralettes under sheer lace blouses and wide belts to cinch in at the waist

 

marc

2. Camilla & Marc

Textures: Shimmery/glittery fabrics, thick weaves, beading embellishment and glossy pvc
Silhouette: Modern, structured, tailored and oversized
Colours: Khaki, moss green, emerald green, grey, mustard and dusty/pastel pinks
Styles: Balloon sleeved dresses, off the shoulder structured blouses, sheer mesh tops, fringed skirts and midi length split dresses
Styling & Accessories: Pointed ankle boots, thigh high boots, open toe mules, white hoops, gold earrings, oversized bags, side strap bags, belt bags and socks with slides
Set: The set was an incredible sandy desert planet which is was assumed to replicate Mars

 

camilla

3. Camilla

Patterns: Florals and oriental prints. There was a lot of pattern clashing!
Silhouette: Relaxed and flowy
Colours: Oranges, pinks, aqua, red, deep blues, yellow and purple
Styles: Flowy pants, open slinky blouses, kaftans, maxi dresses and kimonos
Styling & Access: Rose gold metallic clogs, slim sunglasses, thick silk belts, lots of layering and gem stickers on the face
Props: The set was Japanese inspired with beautiful cherry blossoms, confetti, incense and Japanese musicians in the middle of the runway. There was also matcha tea on arrival

 

albus

4. Albus Lumen

Silhouette: Tailored, flowy, oversized, organic, elegant and classic
Colours: A mix of earthy colours with soft pastels. Teal, brown, khaki, nude, pale blue and navy
Styles: Skirt and top sets, collared oversized shirts, sheer dresses and tops
Styling: Bucket hats, strappy sandals, oversized corduroy bags and bandanas
Props: Rustic ceramic pots
