Winter Style and DIY!

While we may be beating the heat here in Australia’s summer, we are aware that some of our Mura girls world wide are rugging up around the fire as they face the chilly bite of Winter abroad! And because of that, we thought to dedicate this blog to you and put together all you need for a warmer winter!

Above all, a deliciously healthy and steamy hot recipe is an essential for the cooler months! So we’ve made an easy DIY Winter’s Quinoa Porridge for you to cook up and share by the fire or before you kickstart your day! (remember, breakfast is the most important meal of the day ladies!)

Thanks to our friends at Miss Bliss, this deliciously created porridge is bound to curb your appetite and warm your little red noses.

Here’s what you’ll need to put it together…

We use all healthy & organic ingredients, that you can source from your local health food store.

The steps:

Making the porridge is simple, and it should take you no longer than 20 minutes! Plus, a pot of it can last upto 1 week with coconut milk, so your morning brekky on the go is sorted!

Cook your quinoa with the coconut milk on a stove until warm. Usually this should take upto 20 minutes from scratch!

Add a tablespoon of coconut sugar!

blog_2_07While your quinoa is cooking, cut 1 banana and drizzle it in coconut sugar and coconut nectar. Then grill it all together until it’s golden and delicious! Yumm!

Plate the cooked quinoa and add a delicious jam. Here we have used Chia seed jam that we made with coconut sugar, cherries and strawberries!

And your finished – tuck in!

Now that we’ve cured your hunger, we have one more important appetite to curb! Your wardrobe!
Our favourite winter dress this season is our one and only Lost Wonder dress – with its woollen texture and still flattering shape, you simply cannot go wrong with this!
