Christmas wrap up

Just in time before Christmas is here and gone, we thought we would put together a xmas wrap up, filled with all our favourite seasons tips!

Unique Wrapping!
We’ve found a unique and affordable way for you to play santa and not have to break the bank while doing so.

Blog-Wrap_01You will need:

Green foliage
Brown paper
Simple ribbon
Old re-usable box
& The essentials (scissors and sticky tape)Blog-Wrap_03

Materials are very simple, and you can use recycled goods plus natural foliage from your back garden! For the best effect, you should use Christmas themed greenery & florals

foilage Use the foliage and the ribbon as a final decorative touch to your present, and no one will even notice what’s inside!wrap

Now that we’ve got the wrapping sorted, we figure you’d like a lil home made recipe to accompany your unique gifting.

Delicious Delicatessen
We caught with our girl KB Sugar Free, who made a delicious White Christmas recipe just for us!

You will need:

1 cup sugar free muesli
1 cup cherries (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
1/2 cup organic sultanas
1/4 cup cacao butter
1/2 cup coconut oil

ingredients

How to make:
In a large bowl, mix all of the dry ingredients together.
Add through the cherries and sultanas to the mix.
Melt the coconut oil and cacao butter either on the stove top or microwave (keep separate to the dry mixture).
Finally, mix the liquid through the dry mixture. Stir with a wooden spoon (or your hands, if you prefer like me!) Make sure all ingredients are well combined and have a sneaky test taste, if you want it a little sweeter this is the stage to add a little natural sweetener like honey, rice malt syrup or maple (really comes down to what you prefer!).
Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Add the mixture to the baking tray and press down with the back of a spoon (or your fingers!). Make sure the slice is evenly spread across the pan.
Pop into the fridge (preferable) or freezer (if you want it to last longer/come out firmer).
If you want the muesli version – forget about pressing into the pan and instead just spread it roughly over the baking tray before popping it into a preheated oven (180 degrees) and baking for about 15-20 minutes (make sure you check and mix the muesli every 5 or so minutes). Serve the muesli with natural (sugar free) yoghurt & fresh berries for the perfect Christmas breakfast treat!
